An alternative approach to festive fireworks — reducing environmental impact while keeping the celebration.

I worked on EcoPops, a sustainability focused project through Enactus Rajalakshmi Engineering College, where I was involved as a technical and projects recruit.

The team explored recycled materials, alternative product construction and sustainable packaging, including recycled paper, cardboard and sawdust, along with seed paper packaging designed to reduce waste.

That was an early introduction to something I would encounter repeatedly later: a good solution needs to work as a product, not just as a prototype.

(Beyond the prototype)

EcoPops was not treated only as a technical problem.
